It's right for you if...

You want to go really freakin' fast. You know exactly what it's like to be off the front, battling the wind in a solo break, and want all the free speed you can get. You also know a great value when you see it, and appreciate the fit and customization options of a standard bar and stem, and the all-weather stopping power of disc brakes.

The tech you get

Madone SL 6 Disc is ready to race, right out of the box. It's built with a full Shimano Ultegra 11-speed groupset, a road-smoothing IsoSpeed decoupler, and a lightweight 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame and fork with Kammtail Virtual Foil tubes that cut through the wind. Plus, Tubeless Ready Bontrager Aeolus Comp 5 wheels, a Madone aero seatmast cap, and hydraulic disc brakes.

The final word

You get the free speed, aerodynamic advantage, and superior ride quality of our ultimate race bike at a great value, plus the added ability to mount clip-on aero bars for time trials and triathlons.

  • Adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed lets you adjust compliance to your preference, and it's damped with an elastomer so it rebounds in a smooth, controlled, stable motion
  • All the aero advantages of Madone, plus the added capability to clip on aero bars for triathlons and time trials
  • Disc brakes offer better braking performance and extra clearance for wider, more stable tires
  • The Madone seatpost has an integrated mount for the Bontrager Flare RT tail light
  • Let's be honest: this bike looks awesome, like it's breaking speed records even when it's parked at the café for a post-ride espresso

Sooo Smooth

by a member from California on Nov 5, 2019

I purchased this bike to race a gravel like race in Southern California with 70/40 road/gravel or fire roads. This bike tears up the trails. I was amazed how a road bike that climbs and descends so well can take such a beating and not make a peep. The fire roads/equestrian trails here are hard packed with sections of river rock, granite, and sand pits. It handles all of that no problem. The combination of a lower bottom bracket and disc brakes allows me hold a faster line in sandy turns than the CX bikes I ride with. The geometry allows it to climb well even with the added weight , I added 35mm tires and MTB pedals. On that note it descends better than my other road bikes. So easy to lay into a turn. The disc brakes are incredible. No way I'll ever go back. The handle bars are wide for a road bike with the flare drops. I like that so far. The tools hide up in the front part of the downtube. This I believe distributes weight from the saddle to the front tire adding to the ride quality. The amount of front/rear flex is surprising. It's great. Bottom line is....I've fallen in love with cycling again. FYI-Out of the box I changed the tires to tubeless Bontrager GR1 35mm and a Shimano GRX rear derailleur.

Great fast bike

Good bike but a little heavy and i think the adjustable seat post thing in the top tube is a waste.

Best Buy ever!

by a member on Nov 5, 2019

I'm using it without the aerobars. It is super aero, fast on short hills, high comfort on cobbles and high stiffness in a sprint! Only the weight is higher than you should expect from a bike in this price range. When you want to change the seatpost or stem you have to pay for a new one.

Smooth Ride

by a member from Cathlamet,Wa on Nov 5, 2019

It's a nice bike and a pleasure to ride. It has a great color scheme and is way smoother than my Fuji. Now the downside...I bought the bike from a Trek owned store .Which had a nice selection of bikes to try out and find the right bike for me.After a few hundred miles I took it to a Trek dealer not a Trek owned store. Bottom line it will cost you to have a 2 week old bikes shifting cables adjusted. There is a difference in stores.
